Most of All I Need You

There are those days when I need chocolate
This sweet combination of sugar and fat
Really, there's nothing like it
When my inner world has gone mad
On other days I need salted caramel
To sweeten my spirits, to brighten my days
Really, there's nothing comparable
When I can't find out of this maze
After I've eaten, I feel like in heaven
I'm finally at peace with the world
But this feeling doesn't last long
When I realize what is wrong
Not one bite of chocolate will do
When most of all I need you
When most of all I need you
Let's not forget the days I need ice cream
Walnut with maple syrup on top
I need to lose myself in this nice dream
When the rain in my head just won't stop
After I've eaten, I feel like in heaven
I'm finally at peace with the world
But this feeling doesn't last long
When I realize what is wrong
Not one spoon of ice cream will do
When all I can think of is you
When all I can think of is you
Not one bite of chocolate will do
When most of all I need you
When most of all I need you
This was just a fun song I wrote at the beginning of 2022 and was released as the B-Side to the Café Of The Lost Dreams single.
Oh boy, do I have a sweet tooth. And there are days when you're just dying for something sweet - in my case, it's very often chocolate, but it can also be salted caramel or walnut ice cream. I can think of a few other sweets and desserts that didn't make it into the song, like crème brulée or lava cake.
Sometimes you just need something sweet because you need it, but sometimes you need it as a substitute because you miss someone or you just need comfort. Both are perfectly fine! Because it's okay to crave something sweet from time to time.
